Simone often works with you to use movement and breath to help ground and centre your body and its feelings. It is all about learning strategies to regulate and balance our central nervous system.

She places a strong emphasis on understanding her clients' needs and family dynamics, even when doing solo therapy. Her expertise in family therapy helps shift dynamics and improve relationships. Additionally, she welcomes couples counselling.

Simone works with the family to identify problematic patterns of behaviour and communication. She helps the family to develop new ways of interacting and communicating that can improve relationships and promote positive change.

The developmental lens focuses on where we are in terms of our age and stage. This can be impacted by our early attachments with our caregivers. This can be secure and provide safety for a child however for many reasons this might not be your experience. Our early attachments can shape our future relationships.

This method helps you become more aware of how experiences are stored not only in our minds but also in our bodies. It draws on research in neuroscience, attachment theory, and mindfulness practices to help you learn to regulate your bodily sensations, emotions, and behaviours. Simone uses a range of techniques, including guided imagery, breathing exercises and movement to support healing.

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) helps us accept difficult thoughts and feelings, and then take action in alignment with our values and goals. Mindfulness is a key component of ACT, as it involves paying attention to the present moment with a non-judgmental attitude. Simone also uses Mindfulness tools to assist you to anchor in the present moment, observing thoughts and feelings without judgment, and cultivating a sense of curiosity and openness.
